I use a classic bend bar and like a saddle to handlebar drop of between 7 and 9cm. My inseam is 91cm which, using a Selle italia SLR type saddle translates to a 805mm saddle height. I am 6'1' tall and in a "light" season weigh in the 180's and in a "heavy" season weigh close to 200lbs. I hate giving advice on sizing and fit to others so let me use myself as an example. Like you say, you can have a slammed stem on one bike and some stack on another. Ultimately, trial and error is really the only way to determine for sure what is best. But given that your choosing between 3 close colnago sizes, you're already ruling out a lot of other variables that might come into play if you were comparing different models of different manufacturers. It doesn't take much change in wheelbase to affect handling a bit. It is relatively easy to get your 3 points of contact on a several different frame sizes, but a lot harder to find that perfect balance of fit, look, and handling. The short answer to whether the different sizes will affect handling is YES, it will. Hello Crazy Errol, I think you probably are way ahead of the game compared to most when analyzing your size requirements etc. Shame, I didn't realise this and will never get a good fit on a master, whatever size it seems. Turns out the same reach thing happens in the same 3 sizes but with a steeper sta in each all are longer than their equivalent sized carbon brother. Started digging as my master has a weird fit compared to their carbon bikes, I can't run the same length stem for the given size. Would I solely be choosing between the feel of a slammed stem and the feel of more seatpost? Is there gonna be any difference in the weight over the wheels for eg between sizes if the saddle is in the same place behind bb and the stem is the same length? Seems weird but my question is if the sizing would affect the handling of the bikes. So on a 57 my stem is gonna be slammed and a 55 will have some stack but the same length stem. Eg 57 has a 7mm longer tt but my saddle is 7mm further forward on the rails. Ie when I do the trig for my saddle height the difference in sta and it's effect on setback cancels out the difference in top tube between the 3 sizes.

All academic as I ordered a 56 but 's bugging me.įor my sizes, will fit on 55,56,57, it seems the 3 sizes have the same reach. Some questions re Colnago sizes and their charts etc.
